Software Engineer 

High frequency proprietary trading firm Tower Research Capital founded in 1998 in an effort to minimize transaction cost and increase risk return, is looking to hire a Software Developer to join our Post Trade team.

Our Post Trade division is responsible to manage the firm's new generation of back and middle office functions such as books and records, P&L, reconciliation systems, fees; regulatory reporting and surveillance and to make treasury and finance accounting functions efficient in a technological innovation way.

Responsibilities

Building the firm’s Post Trade Platform tools (reference data management, trade capture,urement, surveillance, compliance, regulatory functions as well as trade cost management and P&L).

It works with relevant stakeholders to derive user requirements for a set of features.

Bodies of work in collaborative efforts with the teams across the organization to develop the reliable, scalable and high performance software design concepts and designs.

Technology architect responsible for technology innovation in build out of the new generation middle office and back office applications and processes.

Qualifications

Top college or university providing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science

Relevant experience of 0 to 3 years

Good problem solving skills.

They required knowledge of Python and Java, shell scripts and linux system.

Desirable knowledge includes those of SQL (MySQL, Postgres), and NoSQL (MongoDB, ElasticSearch) databases.

A plus will be past role(s) within electronic trading and a good understanding of equities, commodities, credit, interest rates, foreign exchange, cryptocurrencies, futures, forwards, and options.

Fluently spoken in English and strong communication skills
