In-Person, Software Development Engineer 6 months Internship – 2025

Together, your design, your code, and your raw smarts will solve some of the most complex technical challenges in distributed systems, data mining, automation, optimization, scalability and security, to name a few. Internships here do not matter what city you’re working in, we can give you the means to be in your own project and learn in such a genuine setting. Job location

If you apply for a role at this position by applying your application will be considered for all locations for hiring in India. Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune are included but not limited to this.

Duration and Timelines

Amazon internships are 20 weeks/40hr a week +, 20 hours of Micro Internship each hour (six months) with start dates in July and December 2025 (as per university academic framework).

Keep in mind that internships at Amazon also require full time commitment throughout the internship. Interns are not permitted to have any conflicts (such as but not limited to any academic project, class or other internships/employment) during the course of internship. To plan for absence within such days any details about an exam must be shared with the hiring manager. The hiring or reporting manager would clearly communicate specific team norms of working hours at the time of joining internship. The internship receiving candidates will be required to submit a declaration of their availability, to the entire internship duration duly signed by a competent authority at their University. The declaration will have to be submitted to be subjected to internship offer.

Key job responsibilities

• Work with experienced cross disciplinary Amazonians to create, design and bring innovative products and services to market.

• Lead fundamental changes in the industry, and help design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment.

• Introduction to innovative solutions to create ways to run predictions on distributed systems

and at incredible scale and speed.

• Design and implement scalable, fault tolerant, cheap and easy to manage / use distributed storage, index, query systems.

• Ability to come up with the right solutions, given broadly defined problems and the ability to code them too.

• We will work in an agile environment to deliver high quality of software.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Computer science fundamentals knowledge with (OO) design, operating systems, algorithms and data structures, and complexity analysis

- Knowledge of C/C++, Python, Java or Perl as programming languages.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Computer science, computer engineering or a related field bachelors degree
