Responsibilities

Collaborating directly with other engineers on cross functional projects

You should give meaningful feedback on code reviews, and technical designs.

Make sure your team can run the systems it operates through smoothly and scale for our users needs.

Learn the skills to own a project from start to finish, from project management to technical leadership skills.

What we’re trying to find is someone who meets the bare minimum so that we can consider him for the role. You are encouraged to apply if you meet these requirements. Bonuses are not required for these preferred qualifications.

Minimum requirements

Obtained by summer 2025 a Bachelor’s, or Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent field directly related to work experience

Some experience and familiarity with programming, has been on his own projects, or in classwork. Currently, we mostly work in Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala and Go. However, if the fundamentals and general knowledge are obtained we believe new programming languages for can be learned.

Previous internships or experience from working in a collaborative multi person coding environment. 

Independent research and ability to understand unfamiliar systems, learning systems and being able to form an understanding of a system and the team in it through working with a mentor and subject matter experts.

Pay and benefits

While Stripe is not implementing pay ranges into all of its job postings in every country, it is becoming prevalent across the company. Pay transparency is very important to Stripe and we are working to become pay transparent globally.
