What you'll do

Working under Senior Data Engineer as ETL/ELT pipelines are designed and developed, maintained. This helps in automating data work flows and also integrating multiple data sources to bridge data work process.

Help the management and optimization of our AWS infrastructure (S3, EC2, RDS, Redshift) with secure and efficient data storage retrieval.

Help to manage Databricks clusters, optimize Spark job perfomance, and for troubleshooting for ensuring nonstop, robust data processing.

Help in the execution of data governance practices, to the highest level of data integrity, quality and security in all platforms.

Communicate directly with data scientists, analysts and other team members to deliver high quality clean data so the machine learning models, analytics and end user business reporting can be automatically executed.

All contributing in supporting the team understanding and the collaboration to maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, architecture and governance processes.

At Liven, we are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer who will help our Senior Data Engineer build and maintain our state of the art data infrastructure. It’s a rare opportunity to learn and contribute in mainstream projects right from the first day, using state of the art tools and technologies such as Databricks and AWS.

Qualifications

Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), bachelor’s degree.

Background with Databricks and AWS services (e.g. S3, EC2, Redshift) and data tools (Spark).

Knowledge of basic programming in Python or Scala, and good understanding of SQL.

Understand of foundational data pipeline and ETL/ELT Process.

Experience in local installations of the Stata software on Windows, Linux and MacOS.

Learning proactive mode in new technology and tool, especially in big data, cloud infrastructure, and data governance.

Good to Have

A familiarity of using BI tools like the Looker, PowerBI, or Tableau to do visualization and reporting.

Experience in working with POS system data /F&B and hospitality industries.

Basic knowledge of git for managing and collaboratively code.

 They’d have an AWS or Databricks intro level certification to prove basic cloud skin.
