AWS Support is in operation 24/7/365. One of the requirements for working India Night Shift Hours is to play this role.
Key job responsibilities
But first and foremost the role is one of customer support – in The Cloud.
As a typical Support Engineer’s case, you’ll mainly focus on solving customers’ cases through various customer contact channels such as: telephone, email and live chat. You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to create custom solutions for our customers, as you thoughtfully work with customers rooting the issue to get to the core of a problem.
In addition to working through a broad range of technical issues, an AWS Support Engineer could coach or mentor new hires, assist with new hiring, write tools or script to support the team’s work, partner with development teams and triage complex issues or lead contact deflection initiatives, present and develop training for the team, work with leadership for process improvement and strategic initiatives to deliver better CX and to maintain standards, practices and policies of AWS globally.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of 0-1 years in System Administration OR Database Optimisation OR Network administration OR Devops OR Big Data Analysis. Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP programming / scripting experience
Experience troubleshooting / Support
- Excellent oral and written communication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- OS concepts: Basics, Linux/Unix Systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris, etc). TCP/IP, DNS /Database concept knowledge
- Above average customer focus & multi tasking skills
- Exposure to Cloud computing
